introduction

A few words about me and how I see an interior

I start with questions, not pictures. What does your morning look like, where do the keys land, who gets up first, how many people sit down to dinner. The layout grows out of the answers — colour, materials and furniture come after that.

I am drawn to quiet interiors: natural wood, stone, linen, deep greens and warm neutrals, matte surfaces. Spaces like these age well and never ask you to get used to them. Each project still has a character of its own, and it comes from the people who will live or work there rather than from what is in fashion.

To me a design project is a working tool, not an album of attractive images. The drawings have to make sense to the builders, the schedules to whoever places the orders, and the estimate to you. So I work through construction details, electrics, lighting and storage in full, and check every decision against the budget before it reaches the site.

I work in three cities — Sochi, Tbilisi and Moscow — and run some projects remotely. Surveys, site visits and meetings with contractors are scheduled in advance; everything else is handled on calls and in a shared project chat. At any point you know what stage we are at, what has been approved and what comes next.

I handle every project myself. That limits how many I take on at once, but it lets me keep every detail in view, from the height of a bedside socket to the shade of the grout. My aim is simple: the finished interior should match the project and be comfortable in everyday life.

How I work:the principles I keep to in every project

  • Questions first

Before the first sketch I ask in detail about habits, routines and plans. The layout grows out of the answers, not out of a template.

  • A project is a working tool

I prepare drawings, schedules and specifications so that people can build and order from them without guessing.

  • The budget stays in view

Every decision is checked against the budget in advance. You know the cost before a decision reaches the site.

  • One person is responsible

I lead every project myself: you talk to me, not to a chain of managers.

  • Transparent stages

At any point it is clear what has been approved, what I am working on now and what comes next.

  • Quiet materials

I choose natural textures and restrained tones — an interior that ages well and never asks you to get used to it.

On site

Surveys, site visits and meetings with contractors are planned in advance, and I attend them in person.

Remotely

Some projects I run from a distance: calls, a shared project chat and a clear report at every stage.
