About the project

Apartment in Moscow | Level Yuzhnoportovaya

The main goal of this project was to create a warm and functional home for a modern family, where every square meter is thoughtfully used and practical solutions are balanced with distinctive design details. I wanted to move away from the feeling of a typical city apartment and create a space with its own personality, a welcoming atmosphere, and carefully considered everyday functionality.

The layout centers around an open-plan kitchen and living area, where a compact dining space becomes a natural extension of the kitchen cabinetry. This approach preserves a sense of openness while providing a comfortable setting for family meals. Particular attention was given to storage, with a separate walk-in wardrobe, built-in furniture, and carefully integrated cabinetry that keeps the interior visually uncluttered.

The color palette combines warm wood tones, soft neutrals, and expressive accents. A terracotta sofa becomes the focal point of the living room, while decorative plaster, textured surfaces, and layered fabrics add depth and warmth. In the bedroom, a more restrained palette is complemented by botanical wallpaper with a graphic pattern. The children's room, in contrast, introduces muted green, terracotta cabinetry, and playful shapes, creating a lively yet balanced environment.

Lighting and details play an essential role in the design. Decorative pendant lights, integrated illumination, and soft ambient lighting allow the atmosphere to change throughout the day. A thoughtful combination of textures and finishes adds visual richness while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic.

The result is a contemporary apartment where functionality and aesthetics work together, giving each room its own identity while preserving a unified design language throughout the home.
