About the project

Apartment in a New Residential Building | Moscow

The main goal of this project was to create a contemporary interior with a strong sense of individuality, where functionality would coexist with expressive design choices. I wanted to move beyond the conventional neutral aesthetic of newly built apartments and create a home filled with personality, atmosphere, and subtle retro influences.

The concept combines contemporary furniture, vintage-inspired elements, and distinctive decorative details. A soft, neutral palette provides the backdrop for rich burgundy accents that visually connect the different spaces. Warm wood tones soften the contrasts, while statement lighting and carefully selected artwork give the interior its own identity.

Particular attention was given to the kitchen and living area. Despite its compact size, the space accommodates a functional kitchen, a dining area, and a comfortable place to relax. The main focal points are a burgundy SMEG refrigerator and a sculptural chandelier with elegantly curved metal arms. Soft furniture silhouettes, woven-back chairs, and graphic artwork create a contemporary atmosphere with a nostalgic twist.

In the bedroom, the concept continues through deeper wood tones, tactile fabrics, and details inspired by music culture. A dedicated workspace is seamlessly integrated into the room, while soft indirect lighting and decorative fixtures create an intimate, relaxed atmosphere.

The bathroom explores the relationship between geometry and texture. Light surfaces are contrasted with burgundy ceramic tiles, fluted glass, and recessed niches. Integrated lighting emphasizes the textured finishes, while metallic details introduce a contemporary edge.

The result is an interior where nostalgic aesthetics meet modern living. Every element has its purpose, while the thoughtful combination of color, lighting, and layered textures creates a distinctive yet harmonious home.
