The apartment is designed for short-term rental: guests come for a few days, with skis in winter and bikes in summer. The interior has to cope with constant turnover, clean quickly and still not feel like a hotel room.

Forty-two square metres hold a bedroom behind a sliding partition, a living room with a sofa bed, a kitchen in a niche and a hallway with a closed cupboard for gear and a boot dryer. All storage is built in and loose furniture is kept to a minimum — easier to clean, harder to break.

Materials were chosen for durability: stone-look porcelain on the floor, veneered panels under a protective lacquer, quartz worktops, removable covers on the upholstery. A dark green wall in the living room and warm, diffused light give a sense of shelter after a day on the slopes.

The design is complete: layout, renderings and schedules are approved, and procurement and construction come next.
